Take a tour of your new control panel
Step One: Login to your Control Panel
After your account is set up, you may access your Control Panel. On the Welcome screen, you can edit your account info, make password changes, set up new mailboxes, and check the amount of space your website is using. In the future, you'll probably see a few notes from us when we release new features. Looks pretty simple, eh?

Step Two: Edit Your Settings
Here you can begin building your website. Choose a template, add your own custom photo of the band, and enter keywords so that your site gets ranked with search engines! With BandSiteLive, creating your own band website really is that easy. Go to the next step to see the template selector.

Step Three: Template Selector
Finally, you don't have to wait months for a web designer to design your site. In our control panel, we offer pre-designed templates for you to use. And, the amazing thing about it all is this-you can switch templates at anytime! Just come back to the template selector and pick one you like. We're always producing new templates, so come back often to see what's new.

Step Four: Home Page Editor
Great! You've chosen a template, now let's click the Home button on the left-side navigation bar, and add some content to the home page of your website. You'll see an easy-to-use text editor. The controls work like most desktop programs that you already use, so there's no time wasted learning to code or program anything. Just type your welcome message and click save.

Step Five: Journal Page Editor
Whether you are home or on the road, you can stay in touch with fans by posting journal entries to your site. Add an entry date, a catchy title, and your message. Your Control Panel will post it the next time you click on "publish".

Step Six: Add Events to Your Calendar
Keeping your web calendar up-to-date is important if you want fans to be informed. With BandSiteLive, adding event dates couldn't be easier! You can add show dates from anywhere as long as you have a computer with internet access. Just login to the Control Panel, add your dates, and publish the site.

Step Seven: Add Your Bio
Use the Bio page to tell your fans all the funny details about you and your band. Perhaps how the group met? Your influences? Or what the name really means? Whatever you decide, just click "Bio" from the navigation panel and use the simple text editor.

Step Eight: Photos
Adding photos to your website happens in just 2 steps. Create a gallery, then add photos to your gallery using our upload tool. Just search your computer for the ones you want to add and click "upload". Your control panel creates thumbnails and a "full-size" image so that they fit on your website. It really is that easy.

Step Nine: Message Board
Your website comes with a message board where fans can chat with you. Also, just in case someone say, misspells a word in a message, you have the power to go into the site and edit or delete the message. Add your own message to the board if you want to say something back to them!

Step Ten: Add your Songs!
Got mp3's you want to post to the site? With BandSiteLive, you can. Just browse the files on your local computer and click "upload". You can rename the file and add a description like "This is our first song off the new album." When fans come to your site, they'll be able to listen to your music using their default media player.

Step Eleven: Add Links
Every band has a reason to link to other websites. It's not only the nature of the Internet, but linking also helps to improve your search engine ranking! With the Links page, you can add your friend's band, your record label, or a place to buy your merchandise.

Step Twelve: Email List
Your very own Email List manager. Can you believe it? When fans sign up on your site, their email address gets stored in your control panel for you to see. If you need to add or delete a name from the list, do it here in one click. Very easy!

Last step: Traffic Stats
Understanding the popularity and effectiveness of your website is important. With BandSiteLive, you can track that in your traffic stats. See detailed charts and graphs that show you how many visitors come to your site and from where.
